Key Responsibilities:

As a Storeman, your main role is to ensure the smooth operation of the store by effectively managing stock and upholding high standards. Your tasks will include:
• Overseeing the daily operations of storerooms, including receiving, issuing, and organizing stock items. Storeman Job.

• Monitoring and managing stock levels to avoid shortages and overstocking.
• Receiving deliveries in accordance with Tsebo’s policies and ensuring accurate documentation via Tsebo Source.
• Conducting weekly stock takes and preparing timely reports. Storeman Job

• Ensuring all goods are stored correctly with proper labeling and date marking.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all storage areas including fridges, freezers, and dry storage.
• Handling food, beverage, and chemical stock while following safety and hygiene regulations.
• Preparing for upcoming needs and communicating any potential shortages.

• Managing stock rotation and minimizing waste.
• Supporting cost control measures by ensuring accurate portion sizes and stock usage.
• Collaborating with other departments and stepping in to support other units when required.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proven knowledge of food and beverage stock handling and safety regulations.
• Experience in conducting stock audits and using stock management systems.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications and internal systems like Tsebo Source.
• A professional, punctual, and proactive approach to work.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive customer service attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in stock control or a related field will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar storekeeping or stock management role, preferably within the catering, hospitality, or facilities environment.
