Minimum Requirements
• A relevant 3-year qualification (NQF level 6 or 7) in Labour Relations, BCom Law, or LLB.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
• No previous work experience required – perfect for recent graduates looking to enter public service. Inspectors.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Inspectors, you’ll play a key role in the Department’s mission to uphold employment law and safeguard workers’ rights. Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting workplace inspections to ensure compliance with South African laws.
• Investigating complaints or reports of the law violations and enforcing legal provisions when necessary. Inspectors.
• Planning and executing proactive inspection campaigns, such as workplace blitzes.
• Leading educational campaigns to raise awareness of employment rights and responsibilities.
• Drafting detailed inspection reports and compiling accurate statistical records.
Your work will directly support the implementation of vital legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, the Relations Act, the Unemployment Insurance Act, and the Skills Development Act.
Key Competencies & Skills
To thrive in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
• Strong understanding of legislation and Departmental policies
