What You Will Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
As a Driver Messenger, you will:
• Collect, load, and offload cleaning materials, equipment, and supplies from storage or worksites.
• Ensure safe and secure transportation of equipment and materials to designated facilities.
• Deliver critical documents across departments, ensuring proper handling and obtaining signatures upon receipt.
• Maintain a log of deliveries and ensure that all records are accurately completed and submitted.
• Navigate between Tshwane’s seven regions as needed for departmental logistics.
• Provide professional service with a commitment to punctuality and discretion.
Minimum Requirements to Apply
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following basic criteria:
• Educational Qualification: Minimum of Grade 10.
• Driving Licence: Valid Code B South African driving licence.
• Work Experience: Prior experience in a similar driver or messenger role is essential.
• Health & Fitness: Physically fit and in good health to manage lifting, loading, and offloading duties.
• Criminal Background Check: Willing to undergo a criminal record verification process. Fingerprinting will be facilitated by the Tshwane Metro Police Department, with the cost covered by the applicant.
