The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is currently looking to hire three experienced Drivers on a contract basis within its Corporate Services Department (CSD) at its head office in Pretoria, Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities You’ll Take On

As a Driver for SARB, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Transporting SARB staff members, board members, senior executives, and approved guests between designated locations in and around Pretoria and other regions as required.
• Maintaining a clean, roadworthy vehicle at all times, ensuring scheduled servicing, daily vehicle checks, and reporting any faults or incidents.
• Fueling and performing basic inspections on vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Adhering strictly to all South African traffic laws and internal SARB transport regulations.
• Performing ad hoc courier/messenger duties including delivering packages, confidential documents, and communications both within and outside SARB offices.
• Recording trip information meticulously – including passenger logs, distances traveled, fuel consumption, and vehicle-related expenses.

• Assisting with luggage or parcel loading/unloading and ensuring passengers’ comfort during transport.
• Offering professional chauffeur services as needed, particularly for board-level or executive personnel.
This role is not only vital for efficient operations at SARB but also reflects the bank’s high standards of professionalism and discretion.

What You Need to Qualify

We’re looking for dedicated individuals who meet the following minimum criteria:
• Educational Requirement: Matric certificate (Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent).
• Licensing: Valid South African driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional driving experience in a structured, corporate, or government environment.
