💼 Position Overview: YES Programme – Marketing Assistant

This is a temporary, contract-based opportunity offered under the national YES initiative, designed to give first-time job seekers the chance to build their skills and become workplace-ready. As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll work closely with the school’s marketing team, contributing to campaigns, social media, events, and digital content creation — all while making a tangible impact in the school community.

We’re searching for a young, motivated individual who is:
• ✅ A recent graduate with a recognized qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• ✅ Passionate about digital marketing, social media, branding, and storytelling.
• ✅ Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• ✅ Social media savvy — you know your way around Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

• ✅ Creative, enthusiastic, and brimming with fresh ideas for campaigns, events, and content.

As a Marketing Assistant at Curro Academy Riverside, your key responsibilities will include:
• 📲 Assisting in the management of social media accounts — creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and supporting growth.
• 📝 Contributing to marketing materials — helping to write newsletters, brochures, web content, and blog posts.

• 🎨 Supporting design tasks — creating basic visuals for social posts, flyers, and school communications using Canva or other tools.
• 🎉 Helping to plan and promote school events — open days, learner achievements, community outreach initiatives, and more.
• 📸 Taking photos and videos during school activities and ensuring that marketing content remains current and vibrant. Marketing Assistant.

• 💻 Supporting website updates and monitoring online presence for engagement and brand consistency.
• 🤝 Working closely with the school team to align marketing efforts with educational goals.

• This is a YES (Youth Employment Services) position and is best suited for first-time job seekers between the ages of 18 and 35 who meet the programme’s eligibility criteria.
• The role is temporary (12 months) and contract-based.
