1. Position: Bookkeeper


Department: Social Development
Branch: Finance
Location: 66 Jorissen Street, Traduna Building, Braamfontein
Remuneration: R26,964.66 per month (excluding benefits)

Minimum Requirements:
• National Diploma in Finance or an equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6).
• Completion of a National Treasury Certificate.
• A minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in a finance-related role.


Core Purpose: Bookkeeper


As a Bookkeeper in the Social Development Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient recording and management of the department’s financial transactions. Your role will support the full spectrum of bookkeeping functions and help maintain financial compliance and integrity across multiple operational areas.


Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeper


• Handling procurement transactions and supplier payments.
• Preparing financial reports and maintaining expenditure records.
• Supporting budget formulation and ongoing financial monitoring.
• Ensuring effective communication between departments and external stakeholders.
• Managing administrative duties aligned with financial operations.


Competencies Required:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• A collaborative mindset with integrity and ethical work conduct.


2. Position: Officer: Financial Administration


Department: Social Development
Branch: Finance
Location: 66 Jorissen Street, Jorissen Place, Braamfontein
Remuneration: R26,964.66 per month (excluding benefits)

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 (Matric) plus a National Diploma in Financial Administration or Accounting (NQF Level 6).
• 1 to 3 years’ finance-related experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles.


Core Purpose: Financial Administrator


This role ensures the effective and accurate administration of financial processes within the Social Development department. You will play a critical role in financial monitoring, reporting, procurement, and office management—all of which are vital for maintaining transparent and efficient financial operations. Jobs.


Key Responsibilities: Financial Administrator


• Monitoring and reporting on departmental budgets and expenditures.
• Capturing data and producing monthly financial reports.
• Managing procurement requests and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
• Coordinating with internal teams and supporting external audit processes.
• General office and document administration to support finance functions.


Competencies Required:
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and basic data systems.
• Strong analytical and administrative skills.
• High level of accountability and ability to manage sensitive financial information.
