What You’ll Be Doing
As a Branch Consultant, you will play a crucial role in growing Sanlam’s market share within the Mamelodi region by:
• Providing professional financial advice that empowers clients to make informed choices.
• Promoting and cross-selling Sanlam’s suite of financial products, tailored to each customer’s needs. Consultant.
• Building long-lasting relationships and delivering exceptional in-branch service.
• Supporting clients with product selection, policy servicing, follow-ups, and retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Client Acquisition:
• Understand and explain Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products.
• Identify client financial goals and recommend suitable solutions.
• Educate customers about product benefits and any updates.
• Conduct needs analysis and ensure regulatory and product compliance when onboarding new clients. Consultant.
• Drive appointment scheduling while accommodating walk-in clients for maximised conversion.
Client Servicing and Relationship Management:
• Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure satisfaction and policy continuity.
• Reduce lapse rates by sending payment reminders and consulting on arrears.
• Provide options for policy adjustments, cancellations, or reinstatements. Consultant.
• Actively manage clients not taken up (NTUs) and implement recovery strategies.
Compliance and Continuous Learning:
• Stay informed on FAIS requirements, CPD points, and product updates.
• Maintain proper documentation and follow governance protocols.
• Identify risks, including potential fraud, and act appropriately.
• Report activities using digital tools and contribute to insights that drive improvements.
Reporting and Admin:
• Track your daily, weekly, and monthly performance.
• Meet reporting deadlines and support operational excellence.
• Collaborate with the Retail Branch Manager on strategic initiatives. Consultant.
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum Qualification: Matric (Grade 12)
• Preferred: RE5 certificate and FAIS compliance (Wealth Management)
• Experience: At least 1 year in a sales or client service environment; insurance experience is advantageous.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, customer care, sales acumen, and administrative proficiency.
