About the Role: Receipting Clerk

In this key support role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely receipting of goods and services within our internal systems. You will ensure that all deliveries—ranging from non-stock items to finished products for resale—are processed efficiently and in full compliance with company policies and procedures. This position plays a critical part in our finance and supply chain ecosystem, helping to maintain data integrity and ensure smooth financial operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Receipting Clerk, your duties will include but not be limited to:
• Processing Receipts: Accurately receipt non-stock items, service items, and resale products using our internal ERP system (SAP).
• Verification: Ensure all deliveries are matched against valid Purchase Orders (POs). No goods may be receipted without an approved PO.

• Service Validation: Confirm that any received service is documented with a signed invoice and job card (if applicable), approved by the relevant Cost Centre Owner or End User.
• ERP System Entry: Capture all receipts promptly and accurately into the ERP system to reflect real-time inventory and financial records. Job Opportunity.

• Documentation: Submit original service invoices to the Creditors Department once receipting is complete, and ensure all delivery notes are clearly marked with Goods Receipt numbers and filed appropriately.
• Compliance & Housekeeping: Adhere to all internal policies, maintain organized records, and ensure your workspace is tidy and compliant with audit requirements. Job Opportunity.

• Query Resolution: Address and resolve any discrepancies between Purchase Orders and received goods or services, collaborating with procurement and finance teams as needed.

Minimum Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
• Matric Certificate (Grade 12) – essential.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a finance, procurement, or warehousing environment is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Proven experience in receipting or inventory administration.
• A strong eye for detail, time management skills, and a proactive mindset. Job opportunity.
