The Role: Waiter

As a Waiter based at St John’s College, you’ll be the ambassador of our hospitality promise. You’ll report to the Facilities Manager within our Integrated Business Unit, ensuring every meal and function reflects Servest’s hallmark of excellence. Jobs near me.

Key Responsibilities

• Event Preparation & Setup: Configure dining rooms, buffet stations, and banquet halls; ensure tablescapes, linens, and place settings adhere to etiquette standards.
• Guest Service & Relations: Welcome and seat guests, present menus, answer queries knowledgeably, and take orders with precision. Build rapport through attentive, courteous service.

Who We’re Looking For

• Qualifications & Compliance: Matric certificate and/or Basic Food Hygiene Certificate; clean criminal record; South African citizenship or valid work permit.

• Attention to Detail: Strong knowledge of service standards, guest etiquette, and the ability to maintain rigorous sanitation and safety protocols.
