About the Role: What You’ll Do

As a Fleet Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our fleet operations run efficiently and effectively. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising drivers, managing schedules, resolving on-the-road issues, and ensuring seamless communication between customers, drivers, and the operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily administrative and data capturing tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor vehicle progress and optimize fleet utilization.
• Track and report on fleet movements and delivery statuses.
• Act as the key liaison between drivers and customers—solving problems and facilitating quick resolutions.
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns and log incidents promptly.

• Coordinate additional customer orders and ensure timely deliveries.
• Relay operational concerns from the factory to relevant customers.
• Take initiative to keep operations flowing without unnecessary delays.
• Supervise driver conduct and performance, maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
• Matric / Grade 12 certificate (compulsory)
• A Higher Certificate in a relevant field is advantageous
• Proven administrative experience in a transport or logistics environment
• Proficiency in MS Office and data capturing systems

• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Must be prepared to work rotational shifts, including weekends if required
• Strong interpersonal skills – able to remain calm under pressure and assertive when needed
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take proactive steps without waiting for direction
